Nepali tax compliance: what you will actually be able to file
Most accounting courses teach accounting. This one teaches accounting as it is practised under Nepali law, because that is what an employer in Kathmandu or Bhaktapur is hiring for. By the end of the course you will have worked through:
- Corporate tax planning under the Income Tax Act 2058: how the Act treats deductions, depreciation and allowable expenses in practice, not in theory.
- VAT under the VAT Act 2052: registration thresholds, input credit, the scenarios that trip up new accountants, and the monthly return.
- TDS management and IRD filing: calculating and deducting at the right rate, and filing on the IRD portal.
- Audit readiness and dispute resolution: what an auditor asks for, how to have it ready, and what happens when the IRD disagrees with you.
If you are currently doing data entry and want to be the person who signs off the VAT return, this is the gap the course is built to close.
