Trojan

A Trojan, also known as a Trojan Horse, is a type of malware that disguises itself as legitimate or safe software to trick users into installing or running it. Once activated, it can steal data, damage systems, provide unauthorized access, or install additional malicious programs.

Unlike viruses, Trojans do not self-replicate, but they can cause serious security risks by silently operating in the background.

For example:
A fake software installer secretly installs spyware on a computer.
A malicious email attachment appears harmless but gives hackers remote access to a system.
A cracked application download contains hidden malware that steals passwords and personal data.

  • Remote Access Tools (RAT)
  • System Exploits
